Washi Obsession

Nobody probably know this (chewah, mcm la aku ni famous sangat that people would know anything about me :P) ... but I am a washi tape obsessed girl. Yes, I love washi tapes. I don't mind spending all my hard-earned money on those tapes...just to satisfy my washi needs. :(

For those of you who's not familiar with the word 'washi tape' - well, they are masking tapes made out of rice paper, originated from Japan. They serve like masking tapes juga, but they are so much prettier and comes in many colors! You can just peel them off, stick them, write on them, tear them.. whatever you feel like doing with them lah. He he he

So back to my obsession. Here's part of my washi tape collection:

Uhm, like I said.. that's just part of my collection. I still have like 2 boxes of washi tapes yang I still haven't found a place to store/display them. I am in dire need of a washi tape storage lah... but where can I find one? Kaison's not helping much. The wooden boxes are just too small to fit ALL my tapes. :/

If you ask me, these would be my favorite:

I know they're not pink (as some of you might know how obsessed I am with pink) .. but I really like them! I find myself using these tapes more often as compared to the other tapes. I use them to wrap gifts, I used them for sticking papers/plastic together, I used them on my tealight candles ... I use them a lot lah! :D

Well, if you're interested to get your hands on washi tapes, I have some for sale on my Etsy store as well. Who knows, maybe you'd get obsessed like me as well? Ha ha ha

how to give that bump look on your hair

a few weeks ago, i typed "how to bump your hair" on youtube.. and a few videos popped up. i picked one with a beautiful girl with shoulder-length hair, about the length of mine. halfway through the video, i got bored and was about to click on another video when she mentioned "armpits".

like, what? armpits?

i replayed the part where she said "armpits".. and it turned out to be "bumpits"!

the girl on the video used a bumpits to give that bump look on her hair - and it was SO EASY! like eating ais kacang! actually, eating ais kacang lagi susah. you would have to chew those kacangs. sometimes they got stuck in between your teeth and you got so annoyed, you wanna just korek your gigi right in front of everyone so you can continue eating the ais kacang.

anyway, to make story short... i went ahead and bought the bumpits online. and because i'm nice, i'm gonna show some pictures for those of you who has never heard of bumpits. ;D

this is the bumpits box. i just got it in the mail today. yay!

small little pieces that you can use on your hair to give it a little groove, especially if you're into classic looks. macam that movie, 'breakfast at tiffanys'. heeeee

now you must be wondering how it looks like on the head, right? yes? no? oh whatever. i'm showing nevertheless!

what do you think? nice kan the bump? you no longer need to tease your hair and use cans of hair spray to achieve that bump look. just use a bumpits and your bad hair day problem's solved! you're welcome.

you can get the bumpits online. i think you can get them from the lowyatt forum as well - they're pretty cheap, tho i'm not sure about the authenticity of the product. but hey, yang penting can bump! another way is to get them off their website or ebay.

When strong mamas feel quite weak

Lucky is still unwell. His eyes started twitching yesterday.. and this morning, I noticed that his front limb began to tremble every now and then.

But I am not ready to give up yet. Just not now. I will continue to pray for his recovery. As God has said,

So give up I will NOT. This mama is weak but she has to be strong for her fur-kids. That said, after a day of crying my heart out.. I received a beautiful surprise in the form of a parcel - came all the way from Australia - It's the pink scarf that I purchased last month!

Just look at that packing! Macam my style of packing oh kan? *hee* I guess great minds think alike! :P

So here I am. All smiles with 2 new cute scarves in my hand. I have to find an excuse to wear them. Maybe go for a movie tomorrow. Mama needs to laugh out loud...

Work hard, shop hard

I completed a blog design for Mell last week. She wanted something that looked bright with the combination of red, white and green.

On another note, I am thinking of replacing the chair at my mini studio with a wicker chair. Something white, like this:

But the thing is, I'm not sure if any furniture shop in KK sells it individually. Because I only need one. I know a few furniture shops in Penampang sells wicker chair, but they come in set. With a coffee table....

Maybe pretty Ms. Fay knows where I can get one? :P

Welcome, my new makeup tool

Received my parcel yesterday but totally forgotten all about it till today. Maklumlah, I've been pretty busy lately: 2 weddings, a birthday, a tea party and a blog design project to work on! But I'm not complaining at all. These are the projects that satisfy my hunger for new makeup and makeup tools. LOL

Like my new Makeup Geek stippling brush! Yay! :D

 

Got 'em directly from Marlena (Makeup Geek owner) all the way from USA. Well, since I have more money in PayPal than my local bank account (lol), it's only fair to shop online from overseas stores. :P

Also, I've been a fan of Marlena and her products since ...oh let me see, I can't remember! But it has been a while! Since she was a cute chubby woman to the woman she is today - lean, sexy and hot! (She's an inspiration!!)

I've tried the brush and I must say, I love it!! I'm actually thinking of getting my 2nd brush along with other newly-released products. Maybe some eyeshadows and eyeliners this time! :)

Well I must be crazy today, because:

* I just purchased a pink top off the internet

* It is 1 size smaller than my current size (to motivate my weight loss journey)

* It is quite pricey (top was not THAT pricey but the shipping is!)

But you have to understand WHY I did it..

Howdy!

My last post was dated sometime in September last year. Good gracious me, LAST YEAR! And of course, I have no other excuses for the delayed or abandoning of blog posts but to say that I have been really busy.

I got a job, I quit a job, and then I got another job... I work at night now. So it's only fair to say that I needed all the mornings for my rest, to sleep and gain my strength again. And like most people who works at night, I gained weight. Like lots of weight from late night supper with my friends and lack of exercise in the day. Sucks, I'd say. Just yesterday, a friend whom I've never seen for about 5 months came over for a visit asked if I was pregnant!

So here I am, again. Back to starting my daily exercise. I did a few rounds of cardio this afternoon followed by some weight lifting. Sweat like a pig I did. Hopefully I'd shed a lot of weight soon because I am so tired of people reminding me of how fat I've grown!

But on the bright side, I finally got myself a Coach Poppy! :D

Am Loving It!

Got me a brand new pink shorts from Fat Face. *teehee*


Apart from the pink shorts someone got me from London last month, this would be my first purchase of PINK shorts. Normally I'd get those white or black ones. But I must say, I really LOVE this super comfy shorts! Despite being somewhat pricey (damnit, their stuff are really pricey here in Malaysia!), I am glad I got this shorts. And the scarf. Muahahaha! Must showoff scarf to mom come Christmas. :P

I'm gonna say it again. I love Fat Face's clothings. They're soooooooo pretty and cute! The men's collection are really not bad too.

Oh, I'm planning to buy their oh-so-super-cute shoes this weekend, if my cash transfer made it's way by this weekend. *fingers cross* Wish me luck!

I'm Shopping Again!

Woot! I just spent a total of $66.98 buying stuff online, and I am so happy about it! Well, maybe just a slight feeling of guilt, but the happiness took over that! Muahahaha!

Well lemme see, I bought an ornament from Pottery Barn and 2 cans of hot chocolate. LOL

Oh.. I can't wait for the items to arrive, I'm so excited.. I think I've used the "!" a lot in this post!!

I know most of you don't really read all my blogs (ie. Foreign Beauty or Once Upon A Time) because I know, I know.. I have a little too many blogs. :-P In fact, I have more than 3 blogs altogether but I'd rather not leave the links to all of my blogs: because some of my blogs were written under anonymous name and I'd like to keep it that way. (You never know who's reading your blog, so having a secret blog is another way to express all the feelings you have without worrying that it might hurt someone's feelings.)

But hey, have you visited Foreign Beauty lately? I have a new look for it today! Yay!! Finally done with the "renovation" on my blog and now I'm free to accept custom made order. *wink* I can only accept 2 or 3 orders per month tho else I'd go crazy. LOL!

Anyway, like I said in my other blog, my new sock makes me happy! *giggle*

I Love My New Table Lamp!

Gosh, I just can't stop talking about my new table lamp! LOLOLOLOLOL!!! After browsing tons of beautiful pink lamps on eBay, I finally decided to buy one locally. So I got one from Lovely Lace.

Cheap only... RM129.90. Hehehhe.. 10% discounts too.

My travel companion, "Mr. Dodot" just had to be in the picture! :-P
