As I grow older..

This morning, I woke up feeling happy and excited. Took a quick shower and whispered on my dog's ear to go wish his daddy a Happy Birthday. But a dog will remain a dog. So I went to Bunny's office, gave him a hug, saying "Happy Birthday!".

Then thunder stiked:

"Bila birthday aku?"

Surprised, I answered,

"Hari ni kan? 30th? You said almost the same day with Michael Jackson mah??"

"Michael Jackson 29th. Mine's 28th!"

I almost died.

Pink homecoming dresses I like!

Many, many, many, maaaaany years ago (tho not that too many.. coz I am still very young :P) I was in love with this man whom I've always dreamed of going to the homecoming dance with. He was tall and handsome (sorry, Bunny if you're reading this. but you are ALWAYS the king in my heart! hee) and would make the perfect prom king with me, being the prom queen. But truth be told, we do not have homecoming dance party here in Malaysia. At least there's none in my high school. Sigh.

But for you lucky people in the States and Canada (and every country that has homecoming dance party)... YOU ARE ONE LUCKY BOY/GIRL! I wish we have it too back then.. then I could make use of my makeup skill and sense of fashion for good! Hee

And for you girls out there who's still struggling in getting that perfect homecoming dresses, here's goody two shoes Jane offering her good deed. :P I have specifically choose the color pink - because pink is my favorite. If you're a fan of pink too, then you're in for some eye-candy!

Just when I was bursting with ideas for my next commissioned assignment (I got a new project! Yay!), Bunny came and said, "Sayang, jom tengok Despicable Me?"

So I dropped my pencil, cleared my work table and er.. posted this on my blog.. before I head for the shower. :D

Work can wait. My dahling is taking me out for a movie. We're going out for a movie!!!! ❤❤❤

Super Sunday

Did some shopping at Suria with my Bunny today till my feet hurts.. but at least I burnt A LOT of calories. Yay! Also, I managed to finally wrap the stuff that I have been planning on sending to a dear friend of mine in Seattle, USA. lol. Been wanting to mail them to her since like 2 weeks ago, but I didn't have the time to pack and go to the post office. Sibuk bah me. Maklumlah, businesswoman.. :P

And since I am soooooooooooo tired right now, I don't think I'll be able to do some blog hopping tonight. Will do that tomorrow instead.. coz right now, my feet are killing me! :(

In a word: Lonely

So the party's over. My brother's back to the big city. Bunny's been away for 4 days now so it's only me, and Chiko. And my family of course. It's so sweet of them to stay over and keep me company while Bunny's away, but I guess when you've gotten use to living with someone (like in this case, Bunny) and that someone is not around.. you'll miss them. Tho there are times when Bunny and I would quarrel or disagree (over small matter, most of the time) ..like that time when I got so so annoyed because we had to watch 'The Life of Pi' (when I actually wanted to watch the other movie - which I couldn't remember which. lol) I must say, it's those 'ugly' things that makes you closer to that person.

I remember the story that Bunny told me about the man who sat beside him on one of his flight to Kota Kinabalu, about a year ago. The man, a teacher, just lost his wife about a month before. This man, who's a total stranger to Bunny, mentioned that during his wife's lifetime, they often quarrel and fight over stupid things. Now that his wife's gone, it occurred to him that it was those fights that made him misses his wife the most. "Yang bergaduh-gaduh itu lah yang paling kita ingat...", was his exact words.

So I guess it's those fights and quarrels that made me think of him a lot these few days.

Anyway, Bunny's coming home tomorrow and I've already re-arranged his clothes in the closet. Tidied things up, neatly fold everything and aligned the clothes on the hangers according to size and length. Can't wait to see his surprised face tomorrow when he opens up the closet. :D

Still many hours more to go before I see him. I'm gonna do some reading before going to bed tonight. It's a book my brother accidentally left at home. Before he takes it back, I'm gonna read it up. Ha!

By the way, I changed my blog template again. Couldn't stand the natural shades of colors that I made last night. I guess, after all, I am a pastel color lover at heart and soul. Hope you like the new change!

my weekend is finally here!

For some, their weekend started yesterday (Saturday), but for a person who works on Saturdays as well, my weekend just started. So.. yay! :D

I watched my long abandoned Desperate Housewives show while the fiance watches some Russian movie (God knows what that movie is about..). I also took some time to go through my Facebook and left some birthday wishes for my friends.

And then I went though my old posts in this blog.....

I realized that I have a few emotional posts. Posts that could either humor me or just make me wonder if I was really that sad/emotional before? Of course, I understand that I was being so emotional about the passing of my dear dog, BonBon (I still couldn't utter his name without having that hurtful feeling in my chest to this day) but being sad about going back to Sabah for Christmas??!! Man, I'd slap myself if I could go back to that day and see myself posting that! If you ask me now, I'd trade ANYTHING just to get a chance to move back to Sabah to be close to my family.

Oh shit, just talking about my family gives me the emotional feeling once again. lol. So before I start saying things that I will regret in the future (for posting it over here, I mean).. I better get to bed. In fact, the fiance is not even watching the movie anymore. The TV is watching him instead!

heading to miri tomorrow

Now that the long holidays have finally hit Malaysia, most city dwellers have been going out of the city to a more relaxing place – my brother, in this case, he went to Tioman with his friends. As for my Bunny and I, we’ll be heading to Miri for Gawai early tomorrow morning.

We haven’t even started packing yet, nor did we completed our shopping list of things to buy for Gawai celebration. Can you imagine the rush?

Well I guess my brother was rushing yesterday too, because I think he brought the key to the balcony door – because it’s missing and I couldn’t find it anywhere at home!

Some of the clothes hanging outside on the balcony were clothes that we wanted to take with us to Sarawak – especially them jeans and my inner clothes!

Well ..looks like we’re gonna have to be creative in getting the clothes. We might have to use a pole to pull them back to the door and kasi masuk through the lubang. Aww..

a night to remember

Just finished working on a client's custom blog design today. FINALLY after a month working on it! Now I just gotta sit back and wait for her final input - in case she needs some stuff to add/edit.

*fingers cross* that she will accept the design as it is. *hee*

By the way, the illustration to the left has got nothing to do with the client's new custom blog design. Ini adalah untuk tujuan hiasan semata-mata. lol

Anyway, I like that butt. It reminds me of my own fat butt and how I need to exercise more and eat less rice and sugar (if possible).

And oh.. since I've been working on custom blog design for a client lately, I'm beginning to think that my blog skin needs some revamp too! Yeah.. I'm starting to get tired of this green theme already. Maybe it's time to think of some new look..

Anyway, (wow, how many times did I used "anyway"??) going off to 7-E with the fiancé and my brother. We're gonna have our late night Slurpeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!

P/S I just noticed. It's only 10:41PM?! I tot it's midnight already....

UPDATE: Brother's gf just called. We're going yumcha instead. "Ada ABC sana tu", said my brother. Yay.

Oh, where do I start?

There are so many things I'd like to tell you. Let's start off with the bad news.

The Bad News

My fiance have this friend who's into rock kapak band. He loves going for their concerts - and being one of my fiance's good friend, he'd normally asked us to tag along for these concerts. In fact, we joined him for Search's last concert in August 1st last year. Of course, we got free tickets from a friend who worked in Celcom. :P

This year, there'll be another Search concert. Only this time, they'll be combining with Wings for the Double Trouble concert. As usual, this friend would call my fiance up.

Friend: Nak pergi konsert Double Trouble tak?

Fiance: Kalau ada free ticket, boleh jugak.

(10 minutes later)

Friend: Dah ada tiket. RM70 seorang. Aku dah beli.

Fiance: ....

Note: Aku dah beli. That wasn't FREE ticket! And RM70 x 2 = RM140!!

RM140 wasted on a concert that we're not even excited to go!! My fiance even complained on the phone to me, saying, "I'd rather spend that money on buying your clothes!" (which I will explain why in my later post)

So the bad news is: we'll be wasting RM140 on tickets to a rock kapak band concert. WTF

Now let's go on to the good news.

The Good News

We're going shopping this weekend! YAY!!!!!!! Bunny promised to buy me new clothes for my upcoming job interview. :D

You see, I have TWO job interviews coming up this Monday - and I am all excited about it! It's always nice to have options in life bah, kan? Reason why I don't mind going for both interviews on the same day. One in the morning and another in the noon. Sioknya.

Let us all join together in hands and start praying for me, ok? lol. Because you see, I'm starting to get tired of working from home. I intend to go out and start having colleagues once again. I've been doing this work from home job for the past 3 years. The income is great, but I'd love to be in an office with more people to talk to. I kinda miss office life bah...

So yeah. Pray for me, ok? :P

aku sangat sibuk bah

No, I did not abandon this blog. It's just that I was really, really busy.. like reeeeeeally busy. Let's see:

ii. I have A LOT of assignments and work to do

Oh yes, news of the century. I got engaged! LOL


Life as a newly-engaged couple? AWESOME! Tho it's still a bit weird calling him 'fiance'.
Just wait till it's time to call him my 'husband'. That would be even weirder. Hah!

fancy a fancy band aid?

About a couple of weeks ago, I accidentally got my finger cut by shattered glass. On the way to IKEA, I noticed that the band aid on my finger looked rather dirty and worn out, so I text my brother (who was at the Curve then) to get me some band aid. We were having lunch at IKEA when I gawked in surprise at the first sight of the band aid he got me.

"Wahhh... why so fancy one? Since when do we have striped band aid? Tigery stripe lagi tu.. macam Datin-Datin!"

"Err.. actually we have fancy band aid for quite some time already. There's other patterns too.."

"But Tiger stripes on my finger? Ishh.. bidanya!"

"OK wat.."

At this point, even Bunny agreed with my brother while he wrapped the band aid around my finger.

How come I've never seen one? All I have at home was the traditional band aid.

And nak dijadikan cerita, Bunny and I went to the pharmacy last Sunday to buy some handwash. And guess what?

I saw a collection of cute band aids!! This was one of my favorite:


Where have I been all these while?? How can I not notice these cuties??!!

Now I can't wait to have my fingers accidentally cut. I wanna wear those!!!!

mozad's farewell

Bunny and his band mates had a mini gig last Sunday as a way of saying goodbye to their fellow bassist, Mozad, who's migrating to Australia soon.. :(

uninspired..

I've been scribbling on the paper for a design since morning, yet, I still couldn't get the ONE perfect design! In fact, I've made 8 designs on the Photoshop but all ended up in the bin.

I was chatting with Bunny online this morning, complaining how uninspired I am.

ME: I'm so uninspired today!

HIM: Me too. No heart to play guitar and no inspirations at all.. I guess it's because we're not feeling well.

ME: Sia mau nangis sudah ni.. I can't think of a design! :(

HIM: Please don't be that depressed. Take a rest. Don't force yourself to do anything..

Yet I did. I forced myself to work.

And I came up with this one design...

I dislike it, by the way. There's just SOMETHING about it that doesn't go into my heart.

I don't know... maybe it's just me. Maybe it's my period.

Maybe I should stop designing altogether.

Or maybe I should just call it a day and start again when the period's done.

I'm definitely PMSing!

unwell

Yesterday noon, I was feeling well. By evening, I felt strange. Like my whole body just got really heavy that I was unable to carry myself. By night, I felt sick to my stomach... When I went to bed, I remember telling Bunny that my stomach felt funny. It wasn't the usual gastric. Bunny gave me a massage, telling me that it might be the weather. That everyone's pretty sick these days.

Middle of the night, I woke up, sat by the bed corner and cried silently.

"Kenapa, sayang? Are you ok, love?"

He must've noticed me.

"My stomach hurts real bad..."

That was all I could say before I sobbed like a lost child.
*sigh* (kes telampau manja bah ni)

Bunny woke up of course. Gave me a hug. He rubbed my stomach and did every possible thing to make me comfortable. Even went out to buy me bread and medicine. While he was out, I was throwing up like mad in the bathroom.. :(

Must be food poisoning ni..


I'm feeling slightly better this morning - tho I'm still throwing up and having this terrible stomachache. Noticed how pale I look in the photo? Itulah result dari muntah-muntah dan menangis satu malam. Ha ha ha! Oh, that's my favorite sarong, by the way. I'm a pure Sabahan girl and I love sarong! It reminds me so much of my grandmama and my kampung root. :D

Good thing also lah kena food poisoning ni. At least I could lose some weight from it... lol

i'm getting older

Last monday (August 3rd), I celebrated my *toot* birthday. (sorry, a girl doesn't tell her age. :P) And since my birthday falls on a monday (sigh).. I kinda celebrated it on Sunday with Bunny, my brother and a bunch of friends by having lunch at IKEA. Gawd, I LOVE them foods at IKEA! Especially that Chicken Leg set and the Prawn Salad. Ohhhhh.. just talking about it makes me drool!

And then after lunch, Bunny and I parted from the group and went furniture shopping. YAY! Finally got myself a brand new coffee table and a white drawer. So happy! :D

Speaking of my birthday, Bunny actually bought me a box of very cute looking cupcakes - he knows how much I love cupcakes. :D However, I didn't managed to take photos of the cupcakes coz we (Bunny and I) were a bunch of hyenas. We finished the whole box of cupcakes in less than an hour and I forgot to take a photo or two of the cupcakes. LOL

I managed to take a shot of the mini birthday cake tho - well, Bunny did. Since Bunny is not a keen cake eater (and I couldn't possibly finish up a whole cake alone) we end up getting a mini cake instead. Just for the sake of having a birthday cake, I guess. Ha Ha!

Bunny also gave me the best gift a woman could ever get on her birthday ... but I'd rather not tell you what it was. *wink* I can tell you tho, that it comes with a birthday card with a note inside that says very heartwarming words for me. Bunny made me feel so loved and blessed to have him in my life..

Ahh.. life is such a bliss. :D

I only slept for 4 hours last night! This is all Bunny's fault! lol. We had a late night out with his friends last night: we went to this pub called The Ship in the hopes of seeing live performance by the transvetites (pondan) but boohoo.. it was another band who performed last night. :(

Anyway, I REALLY gotta stop typing. I'm about to fall asleep on the notebook already!

oopsie!

Bunny and I accidentally woke up pretty late today - we missed the mass, of course. But to be honestly honest, I actually woke up at 8:45am and said, "Oh, we're gonna be late!" No idea who I was talking to - either to myself or Bunny - but the main thing is, neither of us were listening because Bunny was obviously still sound asleep and I on the other hand.. went back to sleep. lol

Mummy's gonna kill me if she knew this.

Anyway, this is gonna be just another Sunday for us ..although I plan to take Bunny plants-shopping when he wakes up. I think our balcony and porch could do with some green plants. I'm keeping my fingers cross that he'll say YES.

12:27pm - I'm feeling quite hungry already. I should try my best to wake him up and whine about my stomachache. *teehee*

PS: Yasmin Ahmad died today. May her soul rest in peace. :(

UPDATE: On the evening after helping Bunny washed his car, we stopped the ice cream man who happened to pass by. We bought 2 red bean ice cream. I guess the ice cream man saw the cross I was wearing on my neck that made him asked, "Which church do you go?" "I go to St. Anthony's church", I said. "Did you go to church today?" he asked again. Sheepishly, I answered, "No. We woke up late today..."

And then guess what was his reply?

"Pergi lah church... Sekali seminggu saja. Kita mesti sembahyang sama itu Tuhan. Cakap terima kasih. Puji Tuhan. Sekali seminggu saja pun susah kah..."

After he left, I unwrapped the red bean ice cream. Surprise, surprise, the ice cream broke into 2 and the other half dropped on the ground!! So much for making me feel guilty like a sinner lah!
